General AltiMAX Arctic 12 is a studdable winter tire created for coupes, sedans, SUVs, and crossovers. The directional tread pattern and the extended central rib tread promote exceptional steering and confidence in dry handling, as well as improved tread life. The high-void angled tread grooves effectively evacuate water and slush from the tread to have a powerful grip to resist hydroplaning. AltiMAX Arctic 12 features optimized angled block edges and straight sipes in the center of the tread for additional biting edges to grab snow to increase the traction in slippery conditions. If the tire has studs installed, it can still provide low noise levels with the new computer-optimized spike sequence that meets the requirements of “Finnish Legislation”, therefore eliminating frequency peaks and guaranteeing enjoyable driving. The tire carries a three-peak mountain snowflake symbol, which means it met all criteria for it to use in severe winter conditions.

Tires ship via FedEx Ground and the shipment times are a very good estimate, although not an exact number of time-in-transit days. Tires are delivered Monday - Saturday. FedEx does not pick up orders on weekends or certain holidays. Once the tires are picked up, the time-in -transit estimate begins. If you place your order Friday afternoon, or on the weekend, your tires it will not ship until the following week. Currently we only offer FedEx Ground, expedited shipping is not available. Depending on when you place your order, there may be one, possibly two days of processing time. Shipping delivery times can be impacted by weather events across the country.
You can choose between 3 delivery options:
Your tires can be delivered directly to your billing address.
Your tires can be delivered to an alternate address. In this case, please specify the delivery address and the person authorized to receive the tires on your behalf.
The tires can be delivered directly to a Tire Installer of your choice. Please enter the address of the Tire Installer in the "Ship To" address and be sure to coordinate acceptance of your shipment from Giga-tires.com.
You will receive an e-mail confirmation of the transaction when you place your order. Please save a printed copy of your order confirmation for your records.

"I bought these tires studded so that I would not be turned around while driving up our local canyons during snow events. These tires turned my 17 Mazda 3 GT into a snow monster. The snow and ice grip is superb and while the studs are bit loud on dry roads the grip was pretty good for a studded tire. I had a set of of the last generation Arctics on a 15 Subaru Forester XT but I think this the Arctic 12's are a much better tire on dry roads not nearly as squirmy.Overall very pleased with the tire."

"Living in PNW snow country I opted for an AWD G37 that is RWD until the SNOW switch is activated. I decided to get a real set of snow/ice tires this year after record snow last season. We didnt get the snow of last year but still had some good snowstorms. These tires are so impressive I didnt even have to use AWD which bums me out cuz I could have gone with a RWD car like a Mustang or Challenger.I am also impressed with the treadwear. I put 7k miles on them and the still look like new. Ive had other snow/ice tires that wore far quicker!"

"The Altimax Arctics are simply the best winter tire. Long life superb traction in all kinds of snow and even ice. Not a crazy expensive price and if you're real extreme you can go studded.
