Pirelli Scorpion Winter is a Light Truck/SUV Performance Winter / Snow tire developed for sport utility vehicles and modern powerful luxury crossovers designed with a combination of traction on ice and in snow and predictable handling on wet and dry roads to provide low-temperature wintertime driving performance. It also improves grip and handling due to its higher content of silica components and tread rubber compound with new polymer blend feature. While this tire is branded with the mountain/snowflake symbol and Eco impact icons on the sidewalls for meeting the requirements of the industry´s severe snow service, it also contributes to the environment with regards to low noise, energy efficiency and clean air. This tire features shoulder stability to improve dry road handling due to its tread compound shaped into a directional design. Keeping excellent traction on slush-covered and wet roads because of its circumferential grooves, Pirelli Scorpion Winter tire also has circumferential and lateral sipes to help grip on ice and in snow conditions. The close collaboration developed with Volkswagen and Porsche, this tire is also working with ABS systems and most recent traction control making it a tire of choice for Volvo, Volkswagen, Porsche, Mercedes Benz, Land Rover, BMW, Audi and AMG.
