This listing is for new Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 235/45R17 94W BSW Tires. Manufacturer part number: 012139.
The Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 is one of themost popular ultra-high-performance summer tires in the market, offering exceptional value for drivers seeking superior handling on both dry and wet roads. The Firehawk Indy 500 tires feature Firestone's innovative Pulse Groove Technology, which enhances water evacuation to reduce the risk of hydroplaning. This gives drivers better control and shorter braking distances, especially in wet conditions—up to 20% shorter than the previous Firehawk Wide Oval Indy 500. The wide shoulder blocks and enhanced tread pattern also improve cornering stability and handling on dry pavement, making these Firehawk tires a reliable choice for performance enthusiasts.
Often referred to as the Indy 500 Firehawk, these tires are known for their excellent grip, minimal road noise, and sleek design, which make them a favorite for sporty vehicles, including coupes, sedans, and even muscle cars. Users who have compared the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires to more expensive options, such as the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, often mention that the Firehawk Indy 500 offers nearly similar performance at a much lower price point. However, it is important to note that these tires are designed for summer use only and should not be used when temperatures fall below 45°F, as the tread compound hardens in colder weather.
Whether you're looking for Firestone Indy 500 tires for daily driving or occasional track use, the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 provides a great balance of performance and affordability. With a treadwear rating of 340, these tires are built to last when used properly in the right conditions.
